ABOUT ME
Rachel King, MOT, OTR/L
Certified Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Rachel King is a nationally board certified and state registered occupational therapist.
After earning experience working with students as an English Language Arts teacher, she decided to dedicate her time to helping students on an individual basis. She received her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She gained experience working with neurological and cognitive rehabilitation in a day treatment program for traumatic brain injury. She then transitioned to working in pediatrics with a focus on autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, and A.D.H.D.
After working in various pediatric outpatient settings, she established her own private practice to allow her the flexibility to best meet children’s needs in their home environment.

​Rachel King has a passion for sharing her knowledge with children and their families. She also enjoys spending time with her two young boys, reading, painting, and being outdoors.
MY APPROACH
Family-Center, Hollistic Learning
Rachel King uses a family centered approach to occupational therapy that focuses on using a holistic approach including addressing social emotional, executive functioning, and movement skills to improve overall independence. She has advanced training in pediatric toileting and continence including pediatric pelvic floor therapy and sEMG biofeedback. She also has pursued advanced trainings in feeding and swallowing including the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Assessment and Remediation of Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs), and AEIOU Integrated Approach to Pediatric Feeding. She also has participated in various sensory integration trainings and curriculums including interoception, primitive reflex integration, and Therapeutic Listening.
